The Chairman HD3 is a robust, reinforced chair for heavy-duty applications. What is striking about this wheelchair is that it is hardly any larger than other units. The chassis is wider and stronger, the backrest and armrests have been adapted to cope with heavier loads and the seating system is deeper, wider and higher. Twin casters provide improved stability and bearing pressure distribution.
Perhaps the most impressive feature of the chair is the tilt, recline and the elevating legrest mechanisms. According to many, we have successfully met the challenge of creating a system that works seamlessly and smoothly for the bariatric client. Naturally a seat elevator or a tilt needs to be sturdier to cater for higher weight capacity yet be durable. It is essential for any wheelchair user to move around and shift their weight, especially people who are heavier - and it is just what the Chairman HD3 does for its user.
